On Saturday, we took a family stroll to Starbucks. Caroline loved it of course. It isn't often we get out before her first nap. I am loving the cooler weather and from what I can tell, so is C.
After Stella's birthday, Caroline and I went to the craft stores (yes...more than one) to pick up some supplies for her upcoming party! At dinner, I removed her pigtails, and then she had crazy hair.
It is so long! I am glad she doesn't mind me putting it up.
Today we had a special treat. We had brunch with the Colemans who were in town from Kentucky! C was showered with hugs and kisses by Audrey. Showered. It was too cute. We also got to see Raquel at brunch so that was fun. Anyone ever been to Reston Town Center? It was pretty sweet. Super planned, but hey, they had lots of restaurants, an Anthro and a J.Crew. I don't need much else. Anyway, photos from brunch. I love how Audrey and C matched :)

We love birthdays!
On Saturday we attended Stella's first birthday party. The weather turned out to be so gorgeous; perfect for a picnic in the park. Caroline had fun digging in everyone's bag and trying to drink out of all of the sippy cups.
Lovejoy park in NE DC has a great rubber surface for the wobbly tots. Caroline checked out the equipment and ran all around. She likes slides a lot...this one was just too steep.
Caroline was not the youngest by far, but the youngest of the mobile people. We enjoyed the short catch up with Brandon and Renee and will need to get our girls together soon to play!

Rhys' newborn shoot
Better late than never! These were taken when Rhys Nichols Olsen was around 10 days old, which was over 5 weeks ago. This first one is just my favorite.
Such a nice boy!

The last week or so
Just a random collection of photos from the last few days.
Megan and Caroline have a great time together and with Daiane, as you can see below.
Such joy in the nice fall weather! Though it gets buggy so outdoors doesn't always last as long as the girls would like. This one is a cutie. I wish she could play with Leah and Soph.
Caroline also looks super cute in her little sweaters. She is such a strong sturdy girl now and quite independent. Always wanting to explore and figure stuff out on her own.
This weekend we kept her in her pjs on Sunday because she was battling a fever (teeth of course). She watched her dad mow the lawn (well, part of it because the mower died), and stirred some oatmeal in a bin on the porch.
This little peanut just makes me happy! She is feeling better now, which is a great relief.

Ten months old
Our girl is 10 months old today! So strange to think that she took her first steps over 7 weeks ago...it sure is clear though because she is pretty fast, and quite sturdy. Caroline has at least 7 teeth now. I am not going to count anymore until she gets a molar.
I do hope she begins to sign back to me soon so I know what she wants! Today she signed "more" while watching her hands. It was super cute. Then we played around with her favorite toys (boxes and golf balls) and tried to grab the camera. Wonder when that will get old.
Caroline also enjoys taking everything out of the freezer. Since she is always teething, I let her play with her frozen treasures. I bet they feel good on her gums. She found the bagels so I gave her one to munch on until her real dinner was ready. Girl loves a bagel. Just like her momma.
We then attempted a photo shoot. The light just isn't great as it is getting darker earlier, therefore I'm abandoning my month by month project. Instead I'll focus on capturing moments. Like when I gave her back her bagel.
Clap clap!
Happy girl...happy us. xoxo.

Family fun in New Jersey!
This past weekend we traveled north again but this time for a FUN occasion - Uncle Phil's 80th birthday. Caroline was a good little passenger and she loved all the attention she got from her younger cousins.
Joe Pesci DJ'd the event. There was dancing. It was fun(ny).
The weather was SPECTACULAR. I simply love fall. Love. We ate some amazing food then watched the cousins play outside.
I think Gracie enjoyed having a teeny thing around to feed. We did the cousin shot...
Then the heads of the family met to discuss family business...
No comment there. hehe.
Back inside for more fun, cake, and family. Thanks to Mary Beth and Kelly for ALL of their work to make their papa's birthday such a great surprise. I am so glad we went!
