In our "garden"

Our "garden" that we don't garden in has grown taller than Caroline, and parts are even taller than John and I.  That of course doesn't stop C from wandering in and exploring all there is to see in there.  Like some "berries".

Hopefully someday soon we can make this space a bit more functional.  Until then, it is another little fiefdom to explore!

It was nice out today!

We finally had some heat today so I whipped out my camera after work and snapped a few pics of Caroline running around sans pants.

Her destination is the alley.  I cannot wait for our fence to be installed.  Caroline bolts for the alley any chance she can get.  Luckily we don't get much traffic back there, but it is still a street.  Counting down the weeks until installation.

Then during dinner tonight I was able to get some close-ups of C's little glued up puncture wound.  She is still my pretty lady.

Greek Easter

A few Sundays ago we got to celebrate Greek Easter with the Nichols clan!  The weather was nice for a change so we all got to enjoy the outdoors.  Caroline had a blast with her cousins.

Rhys does a good job of sitting and holding down the fort.  He had lots of visitors in Caroline and O.

Caroline just ran around, mostly chasing after O and Aunt Amanda.  She sort of stole the frisbee a few times too.  Thought it was a plate.

All in all it was a great time with family we get to see pretty rarely.  With good food.  Yummm.

First visit to the ER

Caroline took a head dive into a baby gate yesterday and got a small puncture wound in the center of her head. Luckily I was home so Daiane scooped her up and brought her right to me. The crying stopped right when I took her and never restarted! C was a rock star throughout the whole process. She had her hole glued up instead of stitched (something about it being hard to stitch the head of a toddler without making more of a scar). And was back to her normal self instantly. Even ran around our curtained room in the ER touching everything. Like mother like daughter I guess! So lucky to have such a healthy resilient baby.

The last hours of daylight

We do a lot of alley mowing in the evenings. Since we don't yet have a fence in the back it is hard to keep Caroline contained in the yard. Tonight the water table didn't hold her interest so we busted out her gardening tools and some dirt! Was pretty entertaining. But then we returned to the alley, sans bubble mower.

Weeknight dinner out, then in

Caroline and I grabbed dinner (and a milkshake) at Jetties last night. We were able to enjoy the great weather. Which basically means Caroline says hi to every bus or doggie that goes by. And she chased birds. Not much eating went on really. But she dove right into her dad's salad later on!
