Happy Birthday Johnny!

Today we had the Nichols family over for a cookout and water fun to celebrate John's birthday.  In the end there was not much water play...but there was some quality cousin time and good eats.

Olivia brought over her old trike for Caroline to test drive.  She still cannot reach the pedals, much to her frustration. All interest in the pool fell secondary to the red flyer.

And yes, she smiles on demand now.  It is HILARIOUS.  We witnessed this for the first time last night after dinner in Potomac and cannot get enough.  When we are lucky enough to get her to smile for the camera it is priceless.

I unfortunately didn't get any good pics of the birthday man, or any adults really, other than this one.

But that is okay.  After dinner and dessert the girls relaxed with some games.

This weekend Nana visited from Florida.  It was awesome.  Of course I have few pics from that, but I was able to shoot some impromptu backyard pool time this afternoon!  It was a bit muggy out so John wanted to cool off.  His best gal joined him.  Enjoy!
