Three. It's crazy.
Caroline's birthday festivities kicked off with presents and sprinkles pancakes on her actual birthday last Thursday. Then she brought (christmas) cookies to her class on Friday and her big party was Saturday!
We gathered friends and family in our back yard and alley for some running and scooting! John made hot cocoa for the kids and we served it in little cups with tiny lids. How cute! (Photo courtesy of M. Madigan).
Then we sang happy birthday and her FAVORITE SONG before digging into cake and rainbow shore-bert (as C says it).
I think she had an amazing birthday. Thanks to all who made her day very special (and to M and B for sharing pics since I took zero, and for A for grabbing my camera for me).

Boo!
Halloween was great this year. Caroline was Olivia the Pig. Eleanor a cow. And Olivia was Black Widow. Quite a group! Trick or treating is the best. And lots of candy was consumed. E loved walking and strolling with Nana. Babs and I bribed the girls with candy to do a photo shoot when it was still light out.
This is perfection:
A few shots before we headed out in the Palisades…apologies for the graininess but it was quite dark!

Happy Fall!
Took advantage of some early leaves and a (mostly) shady backyard to shoot the little ladies!
Then there were leaves! Funny thing, kids duck when leaves are thrown. They do not look up and embrace them like a snowfall.
Oh Eleanor…
Tables turned.

Saving some of my favorites for another post!

First day of school!
Caroline started preschool this month. Since we are so very lucky to have Daiane with the girls during the day, she has never been in a drop-off situation. Until now! Caroline attends the Community Preschool of the Palisades three mornings a week. She is a proud Polliwog. Luckily a few of her friends are in her class (Mariam, Darya, Hannah) so we had something to talk about in the weeks leading up to this:
Good thing we had her favorite color green dress that even had a "C" on it to wear. And a backpack with her "letters" that she selected.
Eleanor and Nini are attending Little Graces Playgroup (we call it camp) on the mornings Caroline is at school. Both girls went last year and E is at the perfect age to enjoy the crazy fun in the basement of St. David's Episcopal one block away. She runs all around and plays and is into everything, so it is perfect.
No tears from my big girls yet. Now just to get some information about her day out of Caroline (other than what she ate for snack!). Oh and this is what we submitted as our family pic for C's cubby. #selfie
