So this is happening
Due around the end of July. Since this is likely the last we will see of inside baby before birth, I figure there is no better time than now to share. Outside baby has not a clue.

How Caroline helps
Getting any organization done with a toddler is just counterproductive. In our house there is a lot of sitting in vessels. For example, crafting supplies:
Caroline is wearing a Freeman special there. She wanted to put on that rashguard soooo badly. So we did. Funny girl.
Sometimes we fold clothing:
And finally, installation of a fun magnet wall. Hard to drill holes with tiny dancer on top!
I eventually got that done though! The girls seem to like it.

15 Months
Another quarter of a year gone. These last three months have seen Caroline explode with language, personality, and energy. She is running now. It is pretty funny. She has a vocabulary of around 30 words, about half of which people other than John and myself can understand. And she has desires, plans, and opinions! Hard convincing Caroline to do something that is not on her agenda. But we are learning to communicate with one another.
She weighed in at 23 lbs 3 oz at her appointment, which put her in the 75th precentile. Head circumference was also 75th. Length (still measured using the unscientific draw-two-lines-on-the-crinkle-paper method) was 31 3/4 inches. 90th percentile ya'll!

It snowed! Kind of...
This long weekend we saw a few flurries, so naturally Caroline and I went out to play. The flurries held no interest (probably because they were nearly nonexistent). But the water table did. As per :)
After a good chunk of time splashing around, the mom in me took over and brought that baby inside to dry off and warm up!

A walk near the woods
Yesterday we attempted to take a little walk/hike with Caroline. The weather wasn't too cold so we headed out. Unfortunately Caroline wasn't interested in being worn, being carried, walking in the parent-chosen direction, wearing gloves, or much of anything. So with cold hands and not-quite-warm bodies we cut the adventure short and headed back home. Here is our journey in pictures.

Slacker
Yes, I am a blog slacker. I am trying to figure out how I would like to use this medium, my blog, for many months and years to come. Focus on great photography? Capture moments? Catalog our activities? I haven't figured it out yet. I know I don't want to post for the sake of posting...though I want this to be a resource for our family for years in the future...a way to remember all the happy and special times. So I will figure it out.
On that note, here is our life lately from the perspective of my iPhone. My old one. The one I dropped and shattered.

Water baby
Caroline gets a bath every night. She doesn't always get a full scrub with hair wash, but she does get to dip and play and rinse. John does her hair the best. And boy does she love to splash!!
(This is what I mean by not always willing. She wanted to stand up and I made her sit.)
So sad ;)
