Fathers be rad

Happy Fathers Day to Gary, Johnny, Nick, Matt, James, Eric and all the papas of the world.  I mean who else can manage this type of fun?

This morning we went to Buzzards Point to watch the planes take off from DCA.  We had a tasty picnic breakfast.

It was pretty loud, so Rhysie was a bit scared.

Then I attempted a sisters photo!

It was a good day nonetheless.  We wrapped up the afternoon with a splash in the pool and dinner at the Nanas'. I leave you with my moody photography fun.

EMN 10 months old

This girl.  I mean seriously.

Eleanor is walking like a baby pro now.  She got her confidence sometime last week and is just on the move.  She is far from being able to escape the loving arms of her sister, but she is tough.  Eleanor has six teeth.  If you couldn't tell from the first shot. She is snuggly and sweet.  And sensitive.

So glad this lot-so-little nugget is in our lives.

EMN 9 months old

Eleanor is NINE MONTHS OLD!

She is not a teeny squishy baby. She weighs 20+ lbs.  She is in the 95% for height and head, and 75-90% in weight. So a gigantic baby. She is super active and loves to chase her sister around.  She does not walk yet, but that is fine. She gets where she needs to be.

It was very hard to take her monthly shots because the rug isn't very wide.  I should have thought of that in month one.  Oh well.  Eleanor traveled with me to Atlanta and endured house hunting with the Chapmans.  She was such a fantastic baby. I leave her this week for 2 nights for a work trip.  Fingers crossed she doesn't reject the freezer stash…luckily her appetite for real food should make up for any caloric deficit she may encounter due to milk.

She still hasn't warmed to the extended family.  But I've been telling her that her aunties and nanas aren't going anywhere, so she needs to get used to them (in the sweetest way possible).  We love this big nug!

Happy Mother's Day!

Little Graces Graduation

Caroline and Eleanor attend Little Graces Playgroup with Nini here in the Palisades.  It is every morning and you can come and go as you please, since it is for the 6 month-3yr age group. This was the last week of official playgroup (summer camp starts in another week and both girls will go!) so today LG honored the littles who will be headed to preschool in the fall!  That includes Caroline.

The "graduates" all wore green and played outside before circle time, singing, and a video.

This is William.  He is C's BEST FRIEND at camp.  His mama happens to work with me.

Then there was a bouncy house.  And cake.

Eleanor will attend next fall as well.  She loves to play in the toy pit and crawl all around and sing and clap.  We're happy to be part of the Little Graces family!

p.s. we love our Nini :)

Easter (Caroline's second favorite holiday)

Guess who loves hunting for eggs, candy, and twirling dresses?

This girl!

So much in fact that I don't have many photos of her looking at the camera.  She was hunting, hoarding, sorting, and eating.

The Potomac Nichols' hosted the egg hunt and it was so fun!  And I cannot get over this crew.

Cracks me up. More from the hunt and festivities.

This baby---man I love her. She is funny.

Then we celebrated Vicki's birthday!

Those two are serious about cake.

On Sunday we celebrated Greek Easter at Stephanie and Dave's where Uncle Eric taught the kids how to roll down a hill.  Caroline was a big fan.

E hung out with Aunt Shelley.  She had a hard time being around so many people at the party.  But she was happy for a few minutes without me.

Then there was the egg cracking.  I think Eric won again?  I always lose so I have no idea.

Happy Easter!
