Mini road trip!

Today, our little family decided to go on a driving adventure.  First, we loaded everyone in the car, including Caroline.  You cannot tell from this picture, but being strapped into her carseat is not her favorite thing.  It is probably on her top 5 least favorite things list, right after being hungry, being tired, being wet, and evenings in general.

We drove west to the Shenandoah Valley to stop at the overlooks on Skyline Drive.  It took us about an hour and a half to get there, and Caroline did great in the car.  At our first stop on the drive, I fed and changed her before John took our picture.

Then a few miles up the road it was my turn to take the pics!  Caroline did not like the cold (perhaps that would be #6 on her least favorite things so far list).  But she was a good sport and wore her Frenchy hat well.

As you can see it was a nice sunny day.  Shenandoah National Park was basically empty due to the season, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless.  Looking forward to many road trips in the future!
