Baby-led weaning
So we are just letting Caroline feed herself. This is known as baby-led weaning. Some of it makes it into her belly (and beyond). But she loves it and I cannot see how we'd spoon feed. She loves spoons when she can hold them and eat them though.

She seems so much more enthusiastic that either Greta or Eloise was, especially since she is so young. G didn't really have any interest at all until like 10 months and E probably around 9 months. We attempted to feed Greta but she would have none of it and so we ended up essentially doing baby led weaning. With Eloise I don't think we even tried. Now they are both pretty good eaters. :)
ReplyDeleteShe basically started grabbing for our food. Plus she watches a 13-month old eat all day. So I guess she was ready. I would have loved waiting a few more months but the girl likes (to play with) food!
