Today I got to stay home with my baby! Nobody was sick, so it was simply a day to be together and rest and play. We did go into my office so Caroline could meet some folks, and we popped into Georgetown to shop in the evening. But besides that we hug out at home napping and giggling. We also re-attempted our 5-month photo shoot.
Lots of cheeks and chins on that first shot! Papou returned home from his trip bearing gifts, including the adorable shirt (thanks Papou!!)
We had some floor time before the bath (no food today, though Caroline did enjoy peas for the first time last night). The girl is really moving these days. Not crawling, but she can cross the room effectively and is much more stable sitting as well.
She scootched all the way over to the fireplace chasing her toys. Her poor knees and belly--not as soft as the fluffy blanket I put down for her on the other side of the room :)
She is just cute these days. Happy and content most of the time, and a good napper. I know this won't always be the case, but we are enjoying her nonetheless.
And John gets home from a work trip tonight! YAY.
